There is certainly a reason to rejoice for all the fans of One Tree Hills show, as it has been renewed for yet another season!

But the return of the lead stars Chad Murray and Hilarie Burton in season 9 is still hanging in the balance.

Do you think they will reprise their roles for one last time? (Yeah you read that right, the hit show will wrap up after the completion of season 9!)

I guess all you fans must be praying hard so that the adorable on-screen lovebirds show up in the forthcoming season. Even The CW bosses have expressed their wish to see both of them in the upcoming season.

According to Dawn Ostroff, who would be vacating the post of network president for Mark Pedowitz, no serious action has been taken in this regard. He also added that he was confident that Mark would have a discussion with Chad and Hilarie to have them on the sets of One Tree Hill.

The prospect of bringing back the duo on the show suffered a setback a few weeks back, when the talks couldn’t draw out a fruitful conclusion.
Could you imagine One Tree Hill ending without Lucas Scott and Peyton Sawyer in them? No way! They have to be there, if the show runners really want to make a mark with the last season.

I feel that without Lucas Scott and Peyton Sawyer, One Tree Hill episodes will be like sugar-free candy. And, we are in no mood to play hospitalized souls!

The job of bringing back the stars seems challenging because, if on one hand Hilarie is busy with the TV series White Collar, Chad will follow suit with his upcoming movie project The Haunting in Georgia.

I think Mark Pedowitz will have his job cut out as the new president of The CW Network. He would be praying for some kind of way out of this dilemma.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that the Chad – Hilarie confusion gets over soon!
